Der ursprünglich aus Holland stammende Christof van der Ven zog 2007 nach Galway, bevor er sich vor kurzem in London niederließ, und hat in den letzten Jahren einen wirklich beeindruckenden Lebenslauf aufgebaut. Er hat zwei LPs, Empty Handed (2018) und You Were The Place (2019), sowie mehrere EPs veröffentlicht. Er hat Künstler wie Bon Iver, Lisa Hannigan, The Staves und Nick Mulvey unterstützt und ist als Tourmitglied von Bear’s Den in ganz Europa und Amerika aufgetreten.
Nach den Singles „What’s In It For“ und „I Can Only Get So Close“ veröffentlichte Christof’s zuletzt die EP „Haul“. Diese EP ist im Kern ein Gemeinschaftsprojekt und enthält Songs, die mit Andrew Davie (Bear’s Den) und Rosie Carney geschrieben wurden. Sie markiert Christofs erste Veröffentlichung von Originalmusik seit seinem zweiten Album „You Were The Place“.
„Hailing originally from Holland, Christof van der Ven moved to Galway in 2007 before settling more recently in London, and over the past few years he has built a truly impressive CV. He has released two LPs, Empty Handed (2018) and You Were The Place (2019), alongside multiple EPs. He has supported the likes of Bon Iver, Lisa Hannigan, The Staves and Nick Mulvey, as well as performing across Europe and America as a touring member of Bear’s Den.
Following the singles ‘What’s In It For’ and ‘I Can Only Get So Close’, Christof’s most recently released the EP ‘Haul’. A collaborative project at heart, and featuring songs written with Andrew Davie (Bear’s Den) and Rosie Carney, this EP marks Christof’s first release of original music since his sophomore album ‘You Were The Place’.“
